A judge is worried as his son has gone missing. He gets a call from an auto writer (people who communicate with the spirits, as spirits come in their bodies and start writing what they want to communicate) that his son wants to communicate to him. They get the message by the son and are shocked, as the son tells where he is buried too. And to their utter shock, the body is found at the place told by them. Again, through auto-writing, they get to the murder weapon and Dave nabs the killer, who refuses to have done anything. KD takes up the case much to the displeasure of the judge, and even the judge who is handling the case, as she was also close to the son who died.
